Job Summary:
Morgan Trucking & General Construction is expanding and looking for a highly experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic who can diagnose and repair trucks and heavy equipment without constant outsourcing.
We operate a growing fleet of dump trucks, lowboys, excavators, rollers, and construction equipment, and we need someone who takes pride in keeping equipment running and making the company money — not sitting in the shop.
This is NOT an entry-level position! We are looking for someone who really knows diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy equipment. If you’re a serious mechanic who wants consistent work and competitive pay, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
You’ll be working on Western Star & Freightliner dump trucks, lowboys & tractor trailers, excavators, loaders, rollers, skid steers, hydraulic systems, DEF / SCR systems, Electrical diagnostics, and engine troubleshooting and repair.
We need someone who can:
– Diagnose problems quickly and correctly
– Handle major repairs without sending everything to outside shops
– Keep our fleet reliable and job-ready
– Work independently and take ownership of the shop
Requirements:
– 5+ years heavy diesel experience
– Experience with heavy construction equipment
– Strong diagnostic skills
– Own tools preferred
– CDL is a plus
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay Rate: $30 – $45 / HR depending on experience
